Terrorist troops of Russia shot a column of civilians from women and children who tried to evacuate from the village of Pobeda (Baryshevsky district, Kiev region).

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports this on its Facebook page.

"On March 11, when trying to evacuate from the village of Pobeda (Baryshevsky district of the Kiev region) towards the village of Ostroluchie along the agreed" green "corridor, the invaders shot at a column of civilians, which consisted exclusively of women and children. The result of this brutal act was seven dead. One of them is a child. The exact number of wounded is still unknown," the intelligence service said in a statement.

After the execution, the invaders forced the remaining people to return to the village of Pobeda and do not let them out of the settlement, using them as human shields. On March 12, it was almost impossible to establish contact with people, as well as to provide humanitarian and medical assistance.

"The issue of the protection of the civilian population during armed conflicts is governed by the rules of international humanitarian law. In particular, the Fourth Geneva Convention "On the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War." According to these rules, deliberate attacks on civilians who do not take a direct part in hostilities are equated to a war crime," the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports.

A little later, the Main Directorate of Intelligence updated information about the execution of civilians near the village of Pobeda, in the Kiev region. After clarifying the circumstances of the tragedy, it turned out that people tried to escape from the invaders on their own, so they began evacuation without the "green corridor" agreed by the parties. As a result, the occupying units open fire on the population without regret. There are many examples of such war crimes during these 16 days of war.
